GreenNotes volunteer concert events give music fans a chance to get in on giving back to their own community. Inspired by the action GreenNotes artists are taking for the environment, music fans come out to build trails, remove litter, and plant trees in some of their (and our!) favorite outdoor places. To keep the energy up, we bring along the CLIF Bars and our partner artists bring along the music.

Here's What We've Been Up To...

This Fall, GreenNotes has been transcontinental. We've been digging in the dirt and groovin' to live concerts by GreenNotes artists in Yosemite, Boston, and Austin.

In September, GreenNotes partnered with Josh Ritter to support the fifth annual Yosemite Facelift — where a few thousand climbers and hikers volunteered to pick up trash and help with some post-summer season clean-up. We were inspired by the work that was getting done, and so was GreenNotes partner Josh Ritter, who joined us on the end of the 4th day to perform some songs amidst the stunning beauty of Yosemite Valley.

On the same day/opposite coast, we brought GreenNotes artist Missy Higgins to Revere, MA, to play some songs for volunteers cleaning up America's first public beach. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate, but Missy was a trooper — everyone moved inside and Missy played some tunes for folks grateful to be warm and cozy amidst the roaring rain outside.

Our third event was in the Austin area on November 1st. GreenNotes partnered with the Barton Creek Greenbelt cleanup, and after the cleanup, volunteers were treated to an intimate concert from Austin-native and GreenNotes artist Ben Kweller.
